My philosophy is that everyone can learn. However, we have to choose to pursue the best possible education for ourselves. My goal is to instill in my students the desire and skills to become lifelong learners.

Shortly after graduating, I became a certified teacher and highly qualified to teach social studies. I also have an ESL endorsement.

I have worked as a high school social studies teacher. I taught American History, World History, Government and Economics. I have also worked as a substitute teacher. This has allowed me to gain experience working with all different age groups.

While working as a high school teacher I was the senior class sponsor. I also coached two sports while I was teaching. I was the head junior varsity girls basketball coach, and I coached shot-put and discus in track and field.
