Students learn best by doing and feeling as though they are participating in something important. Teachers should compliment students on their achievements, in particular when they are young. This builds the self-esteem and the desire to learn. Only when students enjoy learning will they be able to truly achieve.

I have studied network administration at a technical college. I changed my major to liberal arts and completed a B.A. in English Literature in 2010. I took Spanish I and II in college as my foreign language requirement and took Acting I and II as electives. I have studied play writing at Hollins University and completed some course work at the graduate level. I plan to complete my teaching license through Regis University.

My wife is from a foreign country and I taught private students in her country for one year while I lived there. I have also worked as a volunteer through the YMCA literacy program and helped non-native speakers learn English.

I enjoy writing, studying, racquetball, swimming and making music. I would like to make films one day.
