My philosophy of education is that all children and adults are able to learn. I believe that as an educator I must meet the holistic needs of each student from social, emotional, physical and educational. Each student is unique and learns at a different pace and rate. It is my role as an educator to facilitate that learning potential for each student.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and my Master’s Degree in Reading/ Language Arts. I am a certified teacher in the state of New York.

I have 27 years of elementary teaching experience in grades 2, 3, 5 and 8th grade math. I have also been an adjunct instructor for 25 years at a two-year business college.

I have been a yearbook advisor, Building Planning Team member and have lead committees on developing a school handbook, mentoring program and parent newsletter. I have also worked on Parents as Reading Partner activities.
