Get Your Child Ready for the NM-MSSA
SchoolTutoring Academy’s NM-MSSA Tutoring Programs start with an ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT with an Academic Director. This assessment informs your child’s NM-MSSA tutor about their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses so the tutoring program can be tailored to their specific needs. Our NM-MSSA Tutoring Program includes regular one-on-one tutoring, academic mentorship, bi-monthly progress reports, learning profiles, and parental conference calls.

Understanding
the NM-MSSA
New Mexico state testing begins in 3rd grade as part of the New Mexico Measures of Student Success and Achievement (NM-MSSA). From 3rd-8th grade, students complete tests annually in ELA and Mathematics. Additionally, 5th and 8th grade students take the New Mexico Assessment of Science Readiness (NM-ASR). Once in high school, students have several options to progress toward graduation. Students may take the SAT, PSAT, ACT, Advanced Placement (AP), or end-of-course (EOC) tests to meet this requirement, but 11th grade students will also take the NM-ASR for a final time. For more information on the NM-MSSA you can visit the New Mexico Public Education Department website.
