Every student is different, which makes it essential for the educator to differentiate per each individual students’ needs. I believe in knowing my students and their needs, and providing a comfortable environment for them to thrive in. Learning must be engaging and at a level that is appropriate.

I graduated in 2006 from the University Of Kansas with a B.A. in Psychology and Minor in Communication Studies. I then got my teaching certification in 2008 and have been a full time teacher ever since.

I have experience in a variety of education settings. The bulk of my experience has been in the classroom as a teacher in 4th and 5th grade. Prior to that I have been in early childhood centers as a teaching assistant. I have also tutored students over the summer breaks.

In my spare time I have my hands full with my toddler son. He is very active and keeps me busy. I also like to cook and bake. I love trying new recipes from Pinterest and switching them out with friends.
