EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I have a passion for science and teaching students about the world around them, particularly in the areas of chemistry and physics. I believe if you can open up a students’ eyes to the daily implications and every day experiences that are rooted in the subject you teach, they will grow to have an appreciation and enjoyment for learning.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. I also have a Masters degree in Forensic Science. I also have my Teaching Certificate in Indiana.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught general chemistry, Advanced Placement Chemistry, and Physics to high school students. I have taught within a high-risk, high-needs high school, as well as in a rural, small town, country school. I have experience working within professionals laboratories, which helps me bring real world applications to my teaching and tutoring.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I volunteer in the children’s ministry at my church and coach junior high volleyball. I enjoy being active and traveling as much as possible. I also enjoy working with animals and assisting in rescue missions.
