EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that every child is able to succeed, if they are given appropriate resources and motivation. Each child is unique; therefore the way in which they learn will be unique, and so a teacher should try to engage every student in a way that will engage their minds and help them learn.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
My undergraduate major was Chemistry education, and I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the The College of New Jersey. My graduate major was Science Education, and I obtained a Master of Education degree from Rutgers University.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I taught high school Physical Science for 5 years, while concurrently teaching Chemistry for 3 years. I continued to teach Chemistry for the last 5 years that I was working as a teacher.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
While I was teaching, I was advisor and co-advisor for a few student-run clubs; including culture clubs and science honor societies. I was also part of the National Honor Society selection committee for 5 years. I also have experience in developing a Chemistry curriculum.
