I believe that all students are able to learn when provided with excitement, interesting activities, and motivation. I also believe that teachers need to be friendly and caring in order to gain the interest of the students. People do not learn with somebody that they do not like.

My education includes a B.A. from the Interamericana University in Puerto Rico with a major in Special Education. I also have a minor in science. I finished my M.S. from Mercy College, N.Y. in Elementary Education with a minor on Bilingual Education.

I have been a successful science and math teacher for 7 years. I have also worked with pre-k, first grade, fourth and fifth grade. My students passed the state test with high scores.

One of my favorite extracurricular activities is to teach dance. I enjoy to teach Caribbean music, such as salsa and merengue. But I also been directing reading club and teaching Spanish to my elementary students.
