EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Most importantly learning should be motivating, inspirational and reciprocal for both the student and the mentor.
Education is to enhance the lives of students while developing fluent thinkers and lifelong seekers of knowledge, who are responsible, resilient, and interactive in the world.
Learning is an individual, unique experience for every person. My role is to challenge my students and watch them grow to their full potential through working with their unique learning style with engaging activities.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development Education at San Jacinto College in Texas. Currently, I am in the process of completing my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a certification to teach in the state of Washington. I have participated in numerous continuing education classes in the newest developments in the early childhood education field.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have seventeen years of experience educating child from birth through twelve years of age. As a trainer, I have developed and facilitated parent and child workshop on a variety of educational topics.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I love the outdoors; gardening, camping and hiking. I enjoy reading, music, and crafts. I volunteer as a guardian ad litem with the local CASA program. I am a advocate for children and animals in my community.
