I believe that each student learns differently, but it is important for all of them to take ownership of what they are learning. Linking the material even in a small way to their own life will assist them greatly in learning it.

Most recently, I obtained my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Harding University. I also have Bachelors of Arts degrees in Journalism/Print Media and in Public Relations from College of the Ozarks where I also minored in Graphic Arts.

I am a new teacher, but I have experience as a substitute teacher and as an intern during my own schooling.

My free time is mainly spent working around the house and yard, fixing areas in disrepair. Otherwise, I am playing with my dog, reading, writing, or attempting one of the many craft projects I have found on Pinterest.
