I believe in empowering all students to become critical thinkers and independent learners. While learning content is essential, today’s world also demands that students master 21st century skills. In order to learn, students must be given the tools necessary to take responsibility for their own learning.

I graduated summa cum laude from Brescia University in 2005 and received my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Brescia in 2009. I am also certified to teach AP European History and have had training in project-based learning and digital learning.

I have been teaching for ten years and have also been a curriculum developer for grades 5-12.

In addition to teaching, I have also served as a sponsor for youth government and mock united nations. Outside of the realm of education, I am a published author and enjoy spending time outdoors.
