I believe that every child is entitled to an excellent education! I also believe highly effective teaching consists of clear expectations and learning goals, a strong understanding of content and how to present it, the ability to collect data and use it in a meaningful way to increase student learning, and successful implementation of engagement strategies.

I graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2008. I then joined Teach for America and moved to Indianapolis where I began teaching and working on my Master’s Degree in Teaching. In 2010 I earned my Master’s Degree and then in 2013 I became a National Board Certified Teacher of Mathematics.

I have experience teaching in multiple states for various math subjects at both the middle school and high school levels.

I tutor both elementary and middle school students in math on a weekly basis. I also lead the Math Team at my current high school. We meet every Friday to practice and then we compete monthly again schools across the state.
