Throughout my professional career, I strive to educate people of all different ages through the use of media. What I have observed about myself is that I have the compassion and heart to teach people beyond what they know to help them gain a deeper understanding about themselves. As a teacher, I can bestow some of these unique experiences to students, which will help them engage their own thinking about themselves and life. Teaching and learning require a higher degree of awareness than we ordinarily possess.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. I also have a Masters degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, specifically Biology, Film and Geography. I have my Teaching Certificate in Virginia.

I have worked as a substitute teacher for various grades a levels, mostly middle school. I also mentor children documentary techniques. I have lectured at various colleges and high schools. I have worked in educational media producing digital content for students.

Photography is my passion. I have won awards for my photographs. I am an active skier, kayaker and swimmer. I Love to read books both fiction and non-fiction. I have an eleven year old boy.
