I believe students possess infinite capabilities to succeed in any academic discipline. As a culture, our challenge is not so much to motivate students but to challenge them to understand the value of their education. If we can interest a student in achieving academic accomplishment, there are no limits. In order for students to achieve academically, they need a certain amount of self reflection and purpose.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Utah State as well as an MFA in Creative Writing from Iowa State. I am now in the process of completing a Masters in Teaching at Drake University.

I taught college English at Iowa State University for six years. I also tutored for three years at Utah State University.

I like to sew, jog, and spend time with my dog. I am an avid fisherman and particularly enjoy trout fishing in the summer. I love camping and being outdoors.
