Teach under the premise that students will enjoy subject matter in which they can find everyday relevance. Educators must find innovative methods in which students can learn if traditional methods are not working.

My educational background is diverse in that I have worked in the subject matter in which I have taught. I have completed my Bachelor of Science, Chemistry, and my Master’s Degree in Education at University of Alabama at Birmingham.
I worked as a chemist/chemical technician for 15 years prior to becoming an educator.

Taught as a Highly Qualified secondary chemistry instructor for a period of 12 years in Birmingham, AL. Taught chemistry and college mathematics in higher education for 3 years.

I enjoy motorcycle riding when the weather permits. I perform as a tenor saxophonist in a local jazz band. I enjoy other outdoor activities such as power-walking, working with weights, and bicycling.
