My teaching philosophy is holistic. I respond to students’ physical, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual needs. To create a dynamic and differentiated environment, I strive to integrate multiple intelligences into my units, Bloom’s Taxonomy, as well as cooperative learning, debate, drama, visual organizers, and metacognition.
Above all, I am quick to build rapport in the classroom and I truly believe that the framework for all learning that will take place begins with building relationships and community within the classroom.
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wilfred Laurier University and then went on to receive another Bachelor’s Degree in Education. I am currently a certified teacher in Ontario.
I have experience teaching in classrooms both in Canada and the United Kingdom.
I am interested in all sports (hockey, soccer, baseball, volleyball, track and field, football, cross-country, fitness. I play soccer regularly (2-3 times/week) and love being in the gym 4-5 times a week.
