My philosophy is that every child can learn. Working as a team, both the teacher and student can explore, learn and apply new information. Art, Science and Math are closely related and can be used to reinforce concepts. I use a problem solving strategy to help students peer into the world and internalize new information.

I hold a BA in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Behavioral Sciences, elementary education certification, science endorsement for K-5, endorsement in science middle school, and many classes for instructional techniques and science content.

I have experience teaching elementary level students and tutoring middle and high school students.

I love nature and lead nature hikes with friends and family. I dabble in art and have participated in many classes in crafting. I led children’s crafting activities for our local farmer’s market and downtown merchants events.
