Get Your Child Ready for the NSCAS
SchoolTutoring Academy’s NSCAS Tutoring Programs start with an ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT with an Academic Director. This assessment informs your child’s NSCAS tutor about their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses so the tutoring program can be tailored to their specific needs. Our NSCAS Tutoring Program includes regular one-on-one tutoring, academic mentorship, bi-monthly progress reports, learning profiles, and parental conference calls.

Understanding
the NSCAS
Nebrasksa state testing begins in 3rd grade as part of the Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System (NSCAS). From 3rd-8th grade, students complete tests annually in ELA and Mathematics. Additionally, 5th and 8th grade students take a Science assessment. Once in high school, students take the ACT in 11th grade. Alternate assessments also exist for students with severe cognitive disabilities. For more information on the NSCAS you can visit the Nebraska Department of Education website.
