Get Your Child Ready for Summative Assessments
SchoolTutoring Academy’s Sensible Assessment Tutoring Programs start with an ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT with an Academic Director. This assessment informs your child’s tutor about their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses so the tutoring program can be tailored to their specific needs. Our Sensible Assessment Tutoring Program includes regular one-on-one tutoring, academic mentorship, bi-monthly progress reports, learning profiles, and parental conference calls.

Understanding the Connecticut
Sensible Assessment System
The Connecticut Sensible Assessment System is made up of several assessments beginning in 3rd grade. Testing in English Language Arts and Mathematics occurs yearly from 3rd to 8th grade via Connecticut Smarter Balanced Assessments. Students also take the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) assessments in 5th and 8th grade. Once in high school, in 11th grade students are tested in ELA and Mathematics, via the SAT, along with another NGSS to cover Science. For more information on the the Connecticut Sensible Assessment System you can visit the Connecticut State website.
