In Science, students in the lower grades experience science at a practical level with both lab and classroom training in the elements of Earth and Space Science, and Physical and Life Science. The Middle School level students broaden their education in the same Science disciplines adding more problem solving skills. High School students can choose to study Earth Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Environmental Science in addition to specialized science offerings.

Curriculum in English and Language Arts starts in the full day Kindergarten program and continues through High School with a focus on communication through the demonstration of writing, speaking, and reading skills. Over the years, the develop of a broad vocabulary, the ability to understand a variety of text and be able to respond to them is sought for students.

Chalk Talk: Helping Your Kids with Homework

One very important way to get involved with your child's education is to assist with homework. It is a great way to keep an eye on how your child is doing and whether they are going to need assistance such as a tutor to understand the material. If you are not sure your child is coming home with all the required homework be sure to talk to their teachers to ensure that your child knows what is expected of them. Set aside blocks of time dedicated to doing homework and make it as distraction free as possible. Don't do the homework for them but provide them with tools they need to be able to successfully complete their assignments.
