The primary and middle school curricula provide students with foundational training in general academic subjects. Students will learn content in English language arts, science, social studies, mathematics, art, music, and physical education. Beginning in sixth grade, students may take courses in foreign languages, family and consumer science, and health. Students have access to a variety of academic, social, and emotional support services to aid in their development and determine their academic goals.

The secondary curriculum focuses on college and/or career preparation. Students create individualized plans to meet their current needs and future goals. Alden High School offers its students courses in the following departments: English language arts, science, social studies, mathematics, foreign languages, art, business, technology, music, and physical education/health. For instruction that is more specialized, students may attend training through the Harkness Career Education or College Enrichment Programs.
