Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Horizon City District Curriculum

The mathematics curriculum at Clint Independent School District teaches students number sense. First, students learn how to count by assigning a number to each item in a set. They also learn how to take these numbers and add to and subtract from a set. Students are soon ready to multiply and divide numbers before they begin using this knowledge to be introduced to algebra and data analysis.

Writing a part of the language arts curriculum. After students have learned how to form their letters, they begin to place words in sentences to form ideas. Chalk Talk: Doing Well on the SAT's

SAT tests are stressful no matter how successful a student in school. By following the following tips, students may be able to go into the tests with a little more ease. First of all, practice for the exams by either signing up for a preparation course or taking practice exams. This allows the student to become more comfortable with what they will be facing. Next, prepare for the exam by familiarizing the student with the location of the test, then, make sure they have all the materials the will need the night before. Make sure the student studies for the exam a little bit regularly before the exam. Make sure they get a good night’s sleep and have a good breakfast the morning of the test. Before they begin the exam, encourage them to take a deep breath to allow them to focus on what they are doing.
