Liberty Lake District Curriculum Used in Our In-Home Tutoring Programs
Students in elementary school follow a curriculum aligned to the Washington State Standards in all the core subjects. In English Language Arts, students begin in kindergarten learning the alphabet, letter and syllable sounds, and writing about the world around them. By the time they are ready to leave elementary school, they are able to read both literary and informational texts and construct a sound paragraph. The Math curriculum also begins in kindergarten with children counting to thirty and recognizing patterns. By the time they are ready to leave elementary school, students are prepared to begin algebra and geometry in middle school.
We currently cover the following Liberty Lake-area school districts: Central Valley School District.

Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Liberty Lake District Curriculum
Middle school and high school curriculum allows for more leeway in terms of choices within the curriculum. Students entering middle school have the opportunity to take Honors English, Algebra 1 or Geometry. In high school, students can choose from a variety of literature courses and upper level math courses, such as Calculus and Statistics. All students must take Biology and one Physical Science course to be eligible for graduation. The Science offerings also include courses that teach relevant technology skills.
The standards build on each other over the grade span and students are prepared for the challenges ahead having reached grade-level proficiency in their subjects. Within the curriculum, scaffolds are there to help struggling students achieve grade level skills. For students seeking accelerated or advanced coursework, the curriculum has designed programs that fit that goal. Innovative programs are put into place to engage student interest and students in the middle have many options from which to choose. These opportunities provide a basis for the future decisions students will face during their college and career planning.

- PACE - PACE is a character education program in the district that is taught at all the district schools. The program promotes the importance of having good character, and covers many character traits throughout the year. The district has collaborated with many organizations in the community to make the program a community wide initiative, rather than a district wide initiative. A character trait is assigned to each month of the school year, and the students participate in activities aboout that trait for the month.
- Skills Center - Central Valley School District worked in concert with surrounding districts to open a new Skills Center this school year. The Center provides programs in many skill areas for all district students. In addition to the classes available to students, the district created community partnerships to connect students with potential jobs.
- Bicycle Safety - Many students are riding their bikes for fun and transportation, and have never received instructions on how to keep themselves safe while riding. The district received a grant to allow them to offer bike safety training for all elementary students in the district.
