Foundations are laid in Kindergarten by learning about patriotism and holidays that we as a society celebrate each year followed by both local and global current issues. Additionally, students study their influence on the future world the students will live in as adults. Continuing through high school, Social Studies classes require that students assess multidimensional social, cultural, and ethical issues that exist in our world. Cobb County believes that students need to possess a strong understanding of our past and be able to react with knowledge to current events.

SchoolTutoring has played an important role in improving our son’s confidence and attitude towards school. His grades have also improved steadily throughout the school year.
My daughter was able to improve her test scores after a few months of tutoring with SchoolTutoring. However, while raising test scores is great, the real payoff is in the self-confidence that she gained.
I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank-you! My son is very impressed with his tutor and looks forward to each session. What’s particularly amazing about this is our son has never really looked forward to math or school for that matter!
We are so happy with the results of your tutoring program and academic support. Homework time was such a stressful evening for the entire evening before we brought your tutors into our home. Thank you for all your help!
Our daughter, a first grader, struggled with basic reading and handwriting. When she began with SchoolTutoring she was almost a year behind her class. Within a year of being enrolled, she is reading above her grade level and has the confidence to match.

Sweaty Palms, Thrumming heart, rapid breathing... Yep, your child might have a case of test anxiety. That's okay, many test takers get nervous, some even get sick. Here are some steps to help overcome this common problem. Step one; calm down. Instruct your child to begin by taking some deep breaths. Tell them to center their thoughts. Tell them to follow the steps. Now, read a question. What two answers make no sense at all? Those we now know are completely wrong so we can ignore them. What answer do you feel is correct? Can you think of a reason why? Then chances are that is the right answer. Try not to second guess yourself. Simply take it one question at a time and narrow down the choices. In no time at all your child will be a test taking professional.
