Chalk Talk: The Importance of the Parent-Teacher Relationship

Because your child is your number one priority, it is important to assist others who have an important role in their lives. Our children spend a large amount of time at school starting in kindergarten so it is important to have a strong, positive relationship with your child’s teachers to help your child succeed. If there is important information concerning your student’s learning abilities, please let their teacher know immediately. That valuable information is so important for the teachers and specialists to be aware of from the beginning of the school year. Exchange email address so that you can keep in touch with the teacher and the teacher can keep the lines of communication open with you. Attend Open House and parent/teacher conferences at your child’s school if you are able to do so. Important information is passed along at these events and your participation will be greatly appreciated!
