Chalk Talk: Reading to Children

Parents can boost their children's learning potential by making books an essential part of their lives. Reading to toddlers or pre-school children between two to five years, holds immense benefits. Snuggling up with a book with a parent develops a strong relationship. Children develop a higher capability for learning and improve their vocabulary. As they grow up, the pleasure they experienced as their parent read to them transforms into a love for reading. Children who become apt readers at later ages are generally good at spelling, writing, comprehension and creative writing.
