Chalk Talk: The Importance of Communication

Communication is important because it is how we interact with each other. Your child must be able to read to follow instructions in the workplace. He or she must be able to write to fill out job applications or write papers in college. Your child must be able to listen so that he or she can internalize important information. And your child must be able to speak so that he or she can accurately get thoughts across to others. There is almost no situation in life where communication skills are not needed. For this reason, you must make sure that your child learns these communication skills in school.
