Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Pico Rivera District Curriculum

The Math curriculum lays out the areas of numerical operations, geometry and measurement, algebra, and statistics and probability that students will learn about each year. The Science curriculum provides a framework for earth and life sciences, chemistry, physics, environmental science, and technology subjects.

The design of these curriculum allow for students to go deeper into each subject each year. In doing so, their critical, analytic, problem-solving and reasoning skills are developed. The expectations for what students will learn are described so that teachers may plan instruction and assessments that are aligned to meet these instructional objectives.
