- Bright Ideas Winner - CAEC (Central Alabama Electric Cooperative) has given one of the Math Department instructor's at Autaugaville School, $750 in grant funds. He was the winner of the Bright Ideas Grant for fostering education in math and being a creative, innovative teacher. The Bright Ideas Program gives yearly grants for teachers who strive for educational excellence in their students.
- Technology Center Grant - Alabama Representative Paul Beckman was present to grant a member of the Tech Center with funds to support her administrative duties with the Autauga County Technology Center. The money will be used to enhance the IT program in the new Microsoft Academy.
- Making Diesel Fuel - Converting ordinary cooking oil into diesel fuel was accomplished by several teachers in the Autauga County School District. Several science and math teachers were invited to learn how this is accomplished by the teachers at Piedmont Biofuels.
