Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Rainbow City District Curriculum

Rainbow City School District is a small school district with excellent schools. It is a fully accredited school system that focuses on the students' successes. The students that go through this school system and graduate are well prepared for the future, whether it be college or going into the workforce. The core academic focus helps students build core competencies and critical thinking skills they will use throughout their lives.

Technology plays a very large part in the Rainbow School System. From the primary grades, the students are exposed and taught about technology usage, from how to type, to use of software, safe internet usage, to the application of technology in the daily lives of study, such as research and functioning skills. The consistent use of technology by the instructors also enhances the delivery of instruction, as it gives so many higher-level options for the teachers to teach the needed concepts.

Chalk Talk: Donations to Schools

Schools cannot thank local businesses, politicians, and individuals enough for donations. All sorts of gifts are much needed and appreciated. Usually when a school receives a grant or gift, it may go towards technology items, classroom materials that the teachers need, student supplies, and much more. Depending on the school, the gift is usually used for something that is not able to be purchased with regular funding, but had to be put on the back burner for something more vital at the time. Donations are so very important to all schools!
