Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Royse City District Curriculum
The teachers at Royse City Independent School District demonstrate the importance of the English Curriculum. Through this subject students learn how to read, write, give oral presentations and to listen for information in each area. The students also find out how to research topics that help fulfill requirements of an assignment. Each of these skills are used each day in the students' lives, both in and out of school. They also will use the tools they acquire as they go on in life, whether at college or at a job.
Students learn about numbers and equations through the Royse City Independent School District’s mathematic curriculum. They begin by learning how to assign numbers to objects in a set. They then are able to learn about equations by manipulating these sets to represent addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. By using these tools, students learn the basis of further mathematics, such as geometry, trigonometry or calculus. They also are able to take these tools to become problem-solvers throughout their lives.

SchoolTutoring has played an important role in improving our son’s confidence and attitude towards school. His grades have also improved steadily throughout the school year.
My daughter was able to improve her test scores after a few months of tutoring with SchoolTutoring. However, while raising test scores is great, the real payoff is in the self-confidence that she gained.
I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank-you! My son is very impressed with his tutor and looks forward to each session. What’s particularly amazing about this is our son has never really looked forward to math or school for that matter!
We are so happy with the results of your tutoring program and academic support. Homework time was such a stressful evening for the entire evening before we brought your tutors into our home. Thank you for all your help!
Our daughter, a first grader, struggled with basic reading and handwriting. When she began with SchoolTutoring she was almost a year behind her class. Within a year of being enrolled, she is reading above her grade level and has the confidence to match.

Chalk Talk: Future Careers for Math-Loving Students
Students that enjoy mathematics my wonder what career options are there for them after they complete their education. With a little exploration, they may discover that there is a myriad of choices. Here are just a few for them to consider. For the student that enjoys statistics they could consider becoming a data manager for industries. Hospitals hire these people to collect and analyze patient data, they also evaluate drug trials to record the efficacy for the FDA. The career of a certified public accountant might be the goal of a student that enjoys manipulating numbers. The need for accountants is continually growing, in almost every industry. Then for the student that enjoys geometry there is the career of an industrial architect. People in this field need strong visualization skills as they look at a problem with a design and then can see the solution. It does help if the student has a natural curiosity about the world around them. Students can use these ideas to begin to see a future for themselves with their love of mathematics.
