San Jose District Curriculum Used in Our In-Home Tutoring Programs
The curriculum used in the schools of San Jose has been developed to provide a standards-based education for students; this model has been well-received because of its method of setting clear and achievable standards which can be measured on subject-area tests. The assessments that students take also help educators to see the areas where instruction needs to be increased for all students.
Each subject has a curriculum developed that covers what skills, concepts and principles, and learning strategies students should learn each year. For English/Language Arts and Math, students throughout California follow the Common Core Standards which address the major content areas within the subjects.
We currently cover the following San Jose-area school district: San Jose Unified School District.

Educating Our Parents: Understanding the San Jose District Curriculum
In English/Language Arts, the standards cover the strategies students use to read across genres, to write for diverse audiences and for different reasons, and basics of the language that help students understand content in any subject. In Math, the topics increase the complexity of problem-solving skills students need to gain. Students are taught to be precise in problem-solving and methods to choose the appropriate tools for problem-solving.
Through Language Arts and Math, essential critical thinking skills are set within the thinking patterns of students and available to use in all other subject matter. Elective courses and specialized programs provide curriculum that lay out specific course or program goals and also provides an overview of the types of instructional approaches and learning opportunities that will be used. The curriculum prepares students for these academic challenges and for their college learning and career opportunities ahead. view all San Jose tutors

SchoolTutoring Academy gave my daughter the confidence she needed to boost her SAT score Thank you!
SchoolTutoring has played an important role in improving our son’s confidence and attitude towards school. His grades have also improved steadily throughout the school year.
My daughter was able to improve her test scores after a few months of tutoring with SchoolTutoring. However, while raising test scores is great, the real payoff is in the self-confidence that she gained.
I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank-you! My son is very impressed with his tutor and looks forward to each session. What’s particularly amazing about this is our son has never really looked forward to math or school for that matter!
We are so happy with the results of your tutoring program and academic support. Homework time was such a stressful evening for the entire evening before we brought your tutors into our home. Thank you for all your help!
Our daughter, a first grader, struggled with basic reading and handwriting. When she began with SchoolTutoring she was almost a year behind her class. Within a year of being enrolled, she is reading above her grade level and has the confidence to match.
