Chalk Talk: Benefits of Physical Education and Sports
While academics is incredibly important in a school environment, Physical Education and Sports are also invaluable activities in a school environment. Sports teach teamwork, perseverance, and other life lessons that are difficult to replicate in the class room, especially for learners who need an example they can not only read about or watch, but experience. Students also learn responsibility and leadership skills through Physical Education and Sports programs. They also learn about wellness, nutrition and how to take care of their overall health. These advantages so far have failed to mention the physical advantages of teaching students to exercise as a way of life instead of once a month, or whenever it’s convenient. These lessons are well worth the learning all through the school years.
