Chalk Talk: Valuing our Natural Resources

Waste not, want not. It's not just a matronly saying. It's a way of life. When we all take care of our surroundings, be it our office cubicle, our yard, our vehicle, or our parks and lakes, we ensure the space is beautiful for everyone around us, too. In light of the recent and growing environmental disasters, many people are taking less for granted. Teaching these skills to young children will go a long way in instilling the values. Further, enjoying the outdoors together is the best way to teach children how to appreciate their natural world. School are taking this step further with Environmental Clubs and school-wide recycling initiatives. This is a great opportunity to remember to waste less so that we all have more to share.
