Educating Our Parents: Understanding the South El Monte District Curriculum

The Math curriculum details the essentials of numeracy, algebra, geometry and data analysis on a year-by-year basis. In the Sciences, students develop a host of skills and strategies to understand topics in earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science and technology. In Language Arts, students develop reading strategies, skills in planning and executing writing for different purposes, and other critical communication skills such as attentive listening.
