Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Temple City District Curriculum
The curriculum for Language Arts describes the skills involved in reading literary and informational texts, writing for a range of purposes, using a writing process, and listening and speaking with critical thinking skills. In Math, students learn about numeracy, algebra, geometry and data analysis each year. In the Sciences, the curriculum describes both the skills and concepts in earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science and technology.
All core subjects help students to develop critical thinking skills like interpretive thinking, reasoning, problem-solving and process-oriented thinking. This foundation prepares students for advanced studies and professional pursuits.
SchoolTutoring Academy’s tutoring programs for Temple City students start with a free academic assessment with an Academic Director. Our flagship tutoring programs are available for $199.99/month which include regular one-on-one tutoring, academic mentorship, bi-monthly progress reports, learning profiles, and parental conference calls.
