- Discover Academy - One local middle school is now hosting the Discover Academy. This is a mini-school with an academic focus on applied sciences and engineering. Students may apply for the program which offers a wide range of hands-on and experiential activities.
- Science Awards - Two students at Thousand Oaks High School won awards at this year's State Science Fair. One entry was in the category of Behavioral and Social Science and the other award-winner was in the field of Microbiology.
- Majors Programs - At high school, students may opt-in to a Majors Program in an area that is of interest for a future career. Programs include environmental sciences, the arts, business, public service, and a range of other fields. These programs are designed to prepare students for college and beyond.
