Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Trois-Rivières District Curriculum

Throughout Quebec subject area learning at all age levels of educational pursuits is provided a curriculum by the province. These curricula cover elementary and secondary educational needs in all core subjects, religious education, intercultural education, adult and continuing education, and special education.

Each of these curricular frameworks provides the standards of learning expected of students within the subject. These standards of learning represent what a child should have mastered in abilities and thinking skills within the subject. There is a great deal of flexibility in how teachers bring about the expected outcomes, and so teachers are able to tailor their instructional approaches with their students.

Contact our Academic Directors Today at 1-877-545-7737 to Discuss your Child's Strengths and Areas for Improvement.

SchoolTutoring Academy’s tutoring programs for Trois-Rivières students start with a free academic assessment with an Academic Director. We currently cover the following Trois-Rivières-area school district: Central Quebec School Board, Commission Scolaire du Chemin-du-Roy.

  • International Education – Beginning in August, 2012, some students will be able to participate in the Primary Program of International Education. The design of this program is to promote an internationally-informed education based on structured questioning and research.
  • Green Grants – Valcartier Elementary School was recently awarded a Metro Green Apple School Program grant of $1,000 for their environmental project on waste management.
