Educating Our Parents: Understanding the Union City District Curriculum

Students learn how to communicate about their new ideas in Language Arts. The goal of the curriculum in this subject is the integration of knowledge ideas which is accomplished through both reading and writing. Writing is considered an advanced mode of thinking due to the way it prompts reflective and imaginative thought, and so is central to the Language Arts framework.

With this base, students can take on the innovative learning challenges presented in high school from competitions in Robotics, to Mock Trial, to a program in principles of Design. They are prepared by a foundation of clear expectations.

Contact our Academic Directors Today at 1-877-545-7737 to Discuss your Child's Strengths and Areas for Improvement.

Union City District Curriculum Used in Our In-Home Tutoring Programs

The schools in Union City use the California and the Common Core Standards which describe the central aspects of each subject and the supporting skills students will learn. These standards are prepared by educators and professionals within the fields to provide the strategies that students need to be capable in their learning and professional pursuits.

The emphasis in Math is on computational, relational, and methodological ways to solve problems. Students are presented with data in various forms and asked to manipulate, analyze and create models with it. In Science, through the foundation of basics in Biology, Earth Science, and topics in Physics, students are introduced to the concepts and principles found in investigation of theories.

We currently cover the following Union City-area school district: New Haven Unified School District.
