We all strive for those ‘ah ha’ moments when a student thoroughly and deeply understands! When this happens, the student needs less direction from the teacher and is able to practice their theory on their own. When a student can develop and prove a method, it is almost certain they will not forget it.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Education. While at McMaster, I focused my elective subjects on Chemistry, Physics and Business courses and earned my minor in Business and my secondary teachable subject in Science. I am qualified to teach Mathematics and Science at the Secondary Level.
I have experience teaching grades seven to eleven in the United Kingdom. While there, I have taught students ranging in abilities, from low ability to highly able. The level of the student does not matter, what does are the new things accomplished every lesson!
I enjoy outdoor sports, typically in the winter. I love skiing and snowboarding. I also love hiking when it is not snowing outside! Another deep passion of mine is travelling and learning about the world first hand!
