I believe all children can be successful in any math class. I know it takes effort and willingness to learn, but incorporating methods and strategies I have gathered in 20 years of teaching, math can be a fun and a positive experience for all.

I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and majored in Middle Grades Math Education. I began teaching in 1995 and completed National Board Certification in 2000, and renewed that certification in 2010. I also completed a Masters of Instructional Technology degree in 2010.

I have taught 8th grade math, social studies and academic skills since 1995. I also have 10 years of summer school teaching experience, remediating students to retest on NC EOG/EOC test.

I enjoy sports and camping with my family.
