All students can learn, just not in the same way, or on the same day. Which to me, means that all children can learn a subject provided they are given the appropriate scaffolding and instruction.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1989. After graduation I worked in the business world in a variety of capacities for almost 20 years before becoming a teacher through the Licensure program at Shenandoah University in 2009 and a Reading Specialist Masters in 2015.
I have three years experience teaching a variety of subjects at a small private school, followed by 3 years teaching remedial English and Reading in the Virginia Public school system.
I enjoy a multitude of activities outside of work including Cooking, Reading, Knitting, Golf, Fishing, Boating, Baking and Crafting. I love spending time with my two sons, who are Lego and superhero enthusiasts.
