I have a Master’s in English (writing emphasis) with a minor in Digital Media (I graduated summa cum laude, with a perfect 4.0 average). My undergraduate degree is a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a minor in English. I also had 3 semesters of intensive Chinese language study in Beijing, China.
I lived in China for a total of 8 years, all of them spent in educational settings as either a teacher or student. I have taught college and middle school students extensively and have some experience teaching very young children, including one semester teaching phonics to first graders.
My hobbies include hiking, photography, travel, cooking, and geographical/cultural studies. I recently spent several weeks volunteering at an orphanage for special needs children in China. I have volunteered in educational settings in China, Israel, and the US.
