I believe that all children have the potential to achieve greatest. They need guidance and structure to find that potential. I believe over my teaching career I have provided that to numerous students. Each child is also an individual who learns at varying speeds and that must be honored.
All of my education has been in the province of British Columbia. I graduated from high school in Kamloops, BC and did my initial university classes at our local college. The last 3 years were done through Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC. My Master’s Degree was done through Gonzaga University in Spokane for Curriculum and Instruction.
I have taught for 32 years for the Kamloops School Board. I retired 2 years ago and now find that I have time to do other activities. Most of my teaching was in the area of Grade 2-5. As such, I have covered most of the curricula for these areas. I also worked as a librarian for 2 years and as our Districts Professional Development Chairperson for 2 years.
I enjoy reading and attending cu;tural activities such as foreigh films and local plays. I am an avid snow skier and curler. As well I travel, mostly to UK to visit my daughter.
