EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that every child is unique and offers something great. When given the appropriate guidance, every student has the ability to learn and grow. As a teacher, I want to ensure every student the opportunity to show their gift; by creating an environment that is safe, constructive, and fun I believe every student will be afforded this opportunity. I plan to put my best efforts into helping strengthen my students in all aspects of life by implementing a wide array of teaching strategies and developmentally appropriate practices.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
In 2014 I graduated from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education. While attending the University of Mary, I took many instructional methods courses, such as, Math methods, Science methods, Social Studies methods, English methods, Music methods, Physical Education methods and Art methods.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Since graduating, I have worked in the classroom with students at various grade levels; however, I personally enjoy working with students one-on-one to address their individual needs.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
In both High School and in College I was very involved in music. I participated in concert band, concert choir, jazz band, and pep band. I play many brass instruments, but I mainly focus on Tuba and (bass) trombone.
