My teaching philosophy is simple: teach students not subjects. Ensuring all learning styles are met, I practice differentiated instruction daily. The most important aspect of education for me is to prepare tomorrow’s leaders today. I am a “think outside of the box” kind of teacher. I endeavor to meet all goals set forth by my administration, and working hand in hand with my peers, plan to continue to strive for excellence in my classroom and the betterment of every student’s life I touch.
I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. I obtained my Masters Degree in Secondary Education: English and Language arts with honors. I also have my Teaching Certificate in Alabama.
I have worked for a privately owned and federally funded facility for severe special needs children. There I wrote lesson plans and supervised the staff. I have also taught in the public school system, teaching Special Education, English and Reading.
I sponsored various clubs and activities for kids ranging from junior high to high school age.
