Every child is an individual and learns in a unique way! All children deserve a high-quality education delivered via an instructor who cares about their success and well-being. Instruction should be tailored to meet children’s specific needs while also being fun and meaningful. Encouraging children to become lifelong learners and to enjoy discovering new things is one of my many goals as an educator.
I graduated from high school with an academic honors diploma. Next, I attended Valparaiso University where, I completed my Bachelor’s Degree with a double major of international service and political science in three years. During my last year of undergraduate study, I found my calling to become involved in elementary education. Therefore, after graduation, I received some Montessori early childhood teacher training before returning to Valparaiso University and their transition to teaching program. I completed the program and received my K-6 Indiana teaching license in December 2011.
Currently, I work as a preschool teacher. I have also had experience as a paraprofessional and an instructional assistant.
I am a member of my church’s handbell choir and have volunteered with Vacation Bible School. I have also previously volunteered with a therapeutic horseback riding organization for children with special needs.
