EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I believe that all children are capable of learning. Regardless of any challenges in front of them, with the right help, all children can reach their full academic potential. It is up to their teachers, tutors, and other educational professionals to foster each child’s strengths to ensure success for each student.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have a Teacher’s Aide Diploma from Horizon College. I have completed three years of the Bachelor of Arts program at the University of New Brunswick-Fredericton. I have completed three years of the Recreation and Sports Studies program at UNB-Fredericton as well.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I worked for School District 18 for about a year, as a teacher’s aide. I worked in at-risk classrooms and the methods and resource room. I did a lot of work with at-risk children, improving their English skills and working on writing assignments.
My main focus as a teacher’s aide was language improvement for at-risk children. In addition to that, I have over five years experience working with children at daycares and as a youth sports instructor.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I was a martial art instructor for nine years. I have also participated in equestrian, judo, and figure skating.
