I firmly believe that each student in my classroom is a unique individual who deserves the very best. Each student deserves and must have a safe, nurturing, and educationally stimulating environment where they can do their best, experience success, and feel hope and confidence.
My greatest desire as an educator is to provide students all the tools and opportunities to be successful. I plan on doing this by providing constant opportunities for growth as a learner and as a person; offering students a safe environment where they can be themselves and feel comfortable academically and socially; and allow students the freedom to be express themselves through creative learning and activities that promote self-expression.
My paramount goal is to create a classroom full of collaboration, acceptance, warmth, and learning. As put so eloquently by the writer Robert Frost: “I am not a teacher, but an awakener.”
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies from Robert Morris University. My background is specifically in British literature and writing.
