I believe in a student centered learning approach. Having students participate in inquiry and discovery based learning deepens their understanding of mathematical concepts. Creating an environment that involves the student in the learning process increases engagement and promotes student success. Creating a safe and welcoming environment is critical to success within the classroom.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology as well as a Degree in Mathematics from Brock University. I have my Masters in Education from Medaille University in Buffalo New York. My qualifications include intermediate senior mathematics. I am currently taking additional qualification courses in science as a second teachable.
I have been tutoring for over four years. I have experience tutoring at various grade levels ranging from grade 1 through to second year university math courses. I am currently teaching in Toronto for intermediate/senior level math courses since May 2014.
I an actively involved in various sports throughout the summer including recreational rowing and baseball. I am involved on co-ordinating team schedules and organizing a weekly schedule of practice and game times for the team.
